HOW TO SET UP A COMPANY & WORK LEGALLY IN THAILAND

Full process for foreign entrepreneurs setting up a Thai majority company and converting from a Tourist to Non-B Visa in-country.

OFFICE OR BUSINESS LEASE

Secure a compliant lease (real office or registered address). This is legally required to register your company and later apply for a visa or work permit.

COMPANY STRUCTURE & OBJECTIVES

Define your preferred ownership

(Thai majority or special structure), define your business activities, and legal structure

COMPANY NAME + SHAREHOLDERS

Reserve your company name and finalize shareholders and capital.
→ We draft the MoA, share structure, and prepare all documents.

COMPANY REGISTRATION

Register with the Department of Business Development (DBD).
You’ll receive:
• Company Affidavit
• Tax ID
• Registration Certificate

OPEN COMPANY BANK ACCOUNT *

We help arrange a business bank account at your preferred bank.
→ Some banks require Thai national director or shareholder to be present.

SOCIAL SECURITY (SSO) & VAT REGISTRATION *

Register the company and yourself as an employee with the SSO.and VAT
→ This is mandatory to apply for a work permit and convert your visa.

WORK PERMIT APPLICATION

Once your Non-B visa is approved, apply for a Work Permit.
You’ll need:
• Medical certificate
• Passport
• Original company docs
